This painting was done during a fast moving sunset over the West Maui Mountains. The sunset created beautiful scenery that lit up the canoes on Kanaha Beach. In Hawaii, there is an honor system that is rarely, if ever violated, allowing the traditional method of ocean transport to rest safely on the beach.
